Not as magical as reviewed July 16, 2010 Mark K (SouthEast,Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product based on the number of 5-star positive reviews. I tried it on 4 separate cars ( ages of 16 years old, 11 years old , 8 years old and a 1-year old), that are both garaged and left outdoors in the mild, wet winters and the smoking hot, humid summers of Southeast Texas. The headlights were washed and dried before the PlastX cleaner was applied. The three oldest cars were tested first. From oxidized and foggy to perfectly clear? No, so not worth any stars. Any positive improvement? maybe 1/2 a star. This product did not help the aging oxidized headlights as previous reviews have suggested. The last headlights tested were on a 2009 honda van. They weren't damaged or faded, so there wasn't anything to notice except that it does work as a polish.
Did u say headlight cleaner? well u need this product. April 28, 2010 W. Sejour (P-au-P, Haiti.) Never thought this thing would work, cuz I never head anything like cleaning ur headlight until I went to mechanic for something unrelated and a guy at the shop told me he could clear my headlight for $50,then i went online and found this magic thing... God bless Haiti!
It works, but it's not a miracle cure April 17, 2010 A_G (CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this on the headlights of my 2006 model year car and it work wonderfully. I was noticing the beginning stages of oxidation, some very mild haze on the plastic. After washing and clay baring the car I taped off the area and used this product. It restored the clarity and shine. Realistically I wouldn't expect this stuff to make a ten year old and neglected car's headlights look brand new. In fact, I tried just that and it didn't work; even after sanding with 1,500 grit paper, using a rubbing compound, then this product. However, as a preventive maintenance or regular use item, I think it works superbly. It couldn't be easier to use, just follow the directions.
Not as good as I thought March 27, 2010 John This product did clear the headlights on my car a little but it did not provide crystal clear shine. However, I use this product after each car wash to protect the headlights from UVs. I will try other brand next time.
Value for the money March 25, 2010 Ed (LA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Spouse complain about the headlight and consider 3M product previously.
But others recommended this PlastX as it cost less than $10 and worth a try.
Without a power tool and just use the hand it delivery acceptable different.
Would recommend others for this product.
