Looks good in theory but items not as described August 4, 2010 Arm 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The mirrors looked like they could have been quite useful and helpful in driving even with the other drawbacks others have mentioned in mind (hitting some sun visors and getting a few weird looks). But unfortunately mine were chosen as a lucky pair to be sent in the box that sat in the corner of the shipping warehouse for the past 4 years discolored, worn, crushed and finally spent its last days attempting to carry two of these mirrors to me. To my surprise it actually still contained the items, but of course I get the first mirror and it has clearly been used and stapled back into its packaging, very disappointing. The second was just mercilessly crushed with the mirror in 100 pieces or so. I returned the items so I cannot speak to the usefulness of a new, working product, but clearly the item description should include used.
Arrived on time, but BROKEN! August 1, 2010 elizzrdbeth 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered two of these mirrors, one for myself and one for my mother. They arrived in a box twice the size of the two mirrors, and with absolutely NO padding. They were both shattered.
Just what I was looking for June 8, 2010 V. Nguyen (somewhere, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this mirror, although at first I had my doubts when it arrived. I didn't know that I was ordering a convex mirror and it made me a little dizzy when I first looked at it. I was planning to return it but thought I'd give it a try. First, in my wife's car, which she did not care for. Then I tried it in my car. The first couple of days it was a little dizzying looking at it, but after that it was perfect. I realized that you don't necessarily need to stare at the rear view mirror, but only glance at it when needed. I used to have a Wink 5-panel mirror which was great for bigger cars, but in my little car, I could barely see the street lights since the Wink blocked the upper view of my windshield. This mirror does the job and doesn't block my view.
Also, there's very little vibration. It fits very nicely when clipped on to the existing mirror. The way it's built, it hugs on the existing mirror nicely, without much play or vibration. I had bought a smaller, regular clip on from Walmart and returned it because it vibrated a lot.
Though inexpensive, this item works fine. May 28, 2010 R. Morden (Superior, WI) I thought that this mirror may not work as well as the more expensive mirrors but I can't imagine how another mirror could work any better.
great mirror May 27, 2010 E. Ahlgren (La Mesa, CA USA) I bought this as a gift for a friend with a large pick-up truck. It makes driving so much safer when your blind spot is reduced and you can even catch a glimpse of the kids or the dog in the back seat. I don't know why adequate mirrors aren't standard equipment on SUV's and trucks but since our vehicles come with whimpy mirrors, this is a must!
